Alright if you are following the plan, or myself, you would know I’m doing the 21 Day Fix (I am in no way sponsored or anything – this is just my personal review). I’m on Day 2.
To be honest I’m hit hard with a cold, I feel miserable and the last thing I wanted to do was work out. But I like doing arm work outs so I hit it hard. In All honesty I like the workouts. I like that its only 30 minutes and I like that she doesn’t just do the workouts. The interaction she has with the others in the video is nice. Almost distracting when you are pushing yourself.
Now food. This seems to be the biggest question people have about this plan. I thought it was going to be hard. It’s really not. It’s all about prep and even then its just putting two and two together. Today I got the Fixate cookbook they sell and it looks to have a lot of helpful hints, and recipes, I’ll be incorporating.
As a side note I’m using the containers to shape my meals so I’m not putting measurements because I think we can all figure it out!
Food Break Down:
- Breakfast – Shakeology Vanilla Chai (forgot the honey from the books recipe – USE the honey!!) & 12 almonds = 1R/1B
- Snack 1 – 10 Olives = 1O
- Lunch – Whole Wheat Pita in half, salad greens, tomato slices, veggie burger patty (low sodium medium sized), hot sauce = 1Y/1G/1R
- Dinner – Steak (extra lean, cut into long strips), half a potato diced with sliced onions wrapped in foil baked at 400 degrees for an hour) then I steamed mixed veggies for the side = 1R/1Y/2G/1T
- Snack – Small apple sliced up (makes apples more fun to eat for me) and 2 kiwis = 2P
I was under today on 1 Red & 1 T. Like I said I’m just trying to feel better and I was so exhausted I had to go to bed. Also I started a new job last week and my signs I make has been blowing up for the holiday season. SO busy and not a good time to get sick! But powering thru is the best way to survive. So folks, don’t be surprised if some of my posts are short and to the point regarding the Fix. Please comment on what meals and tips you have for the Fix! Sharing is Caring!
