Before embarking on an adventure I like to clean out my fridge and cubbards. Don’t want food to go to waste. That’s just silly. Anyways it always seems I have some extra eggs to use up. Who doesn’t? Continue reading
So I was undecided for dinner and did a few of my recipes already published:
Sweet Mustard Pork Tenderloin: https://modernwifetale.com/2015/10/12/sweet-mustard-pork-tenderloin-pork-2-ways-part-1/
Butterscotch Blondies: Weekend Snack – Chocolate Butterscotch Blondies | Modern Wife Tale https://modernwifetale.com/2015/09/11/weekend-snack-chocolate-butterscotch-blondies/
Both were delicious. See it’s good to keep a little blog about what you eat so you can always figure out recipes in a pinch. Plus the picky hubby liked them the first time around. Even better the second time!
I had a hankering for soup, it is fall after all, and I wanted something different. Now that it is fall I’m wanting to do all those fall sort of things. Like a corn maze, drinking pumpkin flavored something (with booze please), wearing scarves & having a cold. Yep already got a cold for the year. Feel like I’ve met my quota now – ha! Continue reading
With me not having a formal “job” right now one of my tasks is to make my husband lunch everyday. We live in a small town and he works literally blocks away. So lucky for me we get to eat lunch together everyday. But even though I don’t have a job right now I have taken on quite a bit of extra responsibilities. Continue reading
It’s been a whirl wind week. I think I’ve put more miles on my car this week then the last 2 months combined. But it’s looking like it’s worth it. Crafting some fun new signs for upcoming craft fairs and for sale within my small town has kept me on my toes. But I love it! 😉
So be prepared for some more quick dinners that I can throw in the crockpot. And I might even get to squeeze in a day wheeling in the mountains this weekend!
I’m usually a prepared modern wife and like most throw my meat in the fridge to defrost the day or two before. Well I was slacking and totally forgot to do this the other day. And I didn’t really want to get dressed to go out to dinner. And where we live the only delivery is pizza, which we had the day before, and I Continue reading
Here is dinner number 2 of the remaining pork tenderloin from yesterdays post. You can read part 1 here: https://modernwifetale.com/2015/10/12/sweet-mustard-pork-tenderloin-pork-2-ways-part-1/ Since we don’t like the same thing two days in a row here is a slow cook pork that is delicious and very easy. You could use regular pork chops instead of the tenderloin cut up if that’s what you have on hand. Continue reading
I was thinking about this the other day. How to take one item and make it two separate ways. Since I’m usually cooking for 2 people I tend to have quite a bit of leftovers. And I don’t want to be wasteful with food or my money. The first thing that came to my mind was pork tenderloin. Continue reading
I have been extremely busy getting my business back up and running so I’ve neglected a part of my regular life, this blog. So I figured I need to at least share a recipe of something I made the other day which would be great for your next event. Maybe a football party… Continue reading
My friend and I were talking about having a more crafts gift giving year. I’m over buying people things as gifts. I have a great mother who crochets. And every time I get a baby shower invite I purchase some yarn and she crochets up a baby afghan. Everyone loves it. Continue reading
