4 ingredient dessert that’s ready in 30 minutes. Well I’m in! I’ve been trying to think of other ways to use rice crispy cereal besides just the regular treats that we all have a million times. Fred Meyer had their cereal on sale for $1 a box so I grabbed a few. Figured they have a lasting shelf life and it would give me a few opportunities to try some new snacks. Which it has. This is one of them.
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips – melted – Chocolate chips could be used in place
- 3/4 peanut butter – creamy
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 cups rice crispy cereal
Spray a square Pyrex baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Or you could use parchment paper to line the dish with, whichever is your preference. Mix the first 3 ingredients together. Once thoroughly mixed add in the cereal. Mix well and pour into pan. Freeze for 25 minutes. Pull out and cut into bite sized squares. I cut into 16 pieces and stored in the fridge.
These were really good. I was thinking about these might almost be healthy for you. If you substituted everything for organic or using brown rice crispy cereal. Dare I say they are a good for you snack? Haha!
