Weekend Snack – Easy Salsa

Easy Salsa

Easy Salsa

I love fresh salsa. It is easy to make, you just dice, dice, dice! We will eat the jarred from the store but it’s just not the same. Fresh is best. Even picky husband who doesn’t really like tomatoes loves my salsa. Weird I know. Maybe because I make it specific to his tastes? Not really, I make what I want and just try to get him to agree with how I like it. Is this the modern wife way?!? Ha! I digress. This salsa is my favorite and easy to whip up. It gets made a time or two each week.

Ingredients:

  • 4 roma tomatoes – diced
  • 1/2 cup onion – diced
  • 2 jalapeno – diced. You can deseed if preferred. We like a bit of spice so we keep some of the seeds but take the other innards out
  • 1 lime – juiced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro – lightly packed and diced
  • 1 garlic clove – diced
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Dash of garlic salt

Mix everything together. Salt and pepper to taste. Makes about 2 cups give or take. Easy to enjoy with your favorite chips or to put on anything at all. I also like to put cream cheese on a plate and then top with some fresh salsa. Yummy! Comment below and let me know if this is how you make your salsa or if you have another preferred way. 1. Lines? Limes? Nice! I may invest in some plastic gloves so I can try this. I helped my husband make jalapeño poppers a few years ago, and the burn lasted for days (although, much worse for him since he handled the seeds and didn’t wash immediately). 🙂
